Introduction
The Call of Mangrove Forest is a nature-inspired art exhibition that explores the quiet resilience of mangrove forests: how they protect, nurture and regenerate life. To me, the mangrove represents both strength and tenderness: rooted deeply in the earth, yet flexible enough to survive the tides.
This exhibition was more than an artistic showcase as it was a reminder of how closely human emotions mirror the rhythm of nature.
Catalogue Design
As part of the exhibition, I designed the official exhibition catalogue, which became an essential piece of storytelling.
First exhibition: 300 copies were printed and distributed to guests, collectors and art enthusiasts.
Second exhibition: I redesigned a new catalogue edition, also printed in 300 copies, capturing the evolved concept and visual narrative of the collection.
The catalogue design aimed to reflect the texture, rhythm and soul of the mangrove to blend organic visuals with clean editorial layout.
Proud moment with fellow exhibiting artists, holding the catalogue I designed, capturing the evolving story of our exhibitions.
Media Feature
The exhibition received media coverage on 8TV, where I had the honor of appearing alongside Teresa Kok (DAP Member) and my mentor. It was both humbling and inspiring to share space with individuals who care deeply about art, sustainability and community connection.

Reflection
I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity for me to share my art and connect with people who felt something when they saw it. Designing the catalogue and bringing the mangrove’s story to life reaffirmed why I create: to remind others and myself that healing and growth often begin quietly, beneath the surface.
“Like mangroves, we find strength in the tides. Rooted deeply, yet bend with grace.”
If my work resonates with you or you’re interested in potential collaboration opportunities,
I’d love to connect.
